he Coordinator of Harmony Hospice's Volunteer Program coordinates volunteer
needs in accordance with Harmony's short and long term goals. The commitment of
the Volunteer Program is to provide trained volunteers for any patient and
family in need, for respite care, companionship, errands or special needs.
Volunteers also provide administrative support as needed.
The Volunteer Manager recruits, screens, trains, supports and supervises all
volunteers. A comprehensive training program is provided for volunteers, as
well as on-going education. Volunteers are valued by the staff and honored by
Volunteer recognition events. The Manager of the Volunteer program maintains a
personnel file on each volunteer and keeps statistics on the number of hours
volunteered.
